Because Children Matter, LLC partners with childcare providers in the community through the Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN). Through this program, we work together with providers to offer an educational enrichment program for children ages 12 weeks to 13 years old in a safe, nurturing home-based environment.
Many FCCHEN providers offer extended hours, with most programs open 12 or more hours per day to support the needs of working families. Services are available to eligible families free of charge or at low cost through several cities in Los Angeles County, helping make high-quality child care and early education more accessible and convenient.
To maintain high standards of care and education, family child care home providers enrolled in the FCCHEN program receive ongoing professional development, guidance, and technical support from Because Children Matter.
