Child Waiting Rooms to serve parents and their children
in Los Angeles Courthouses
For more than two decades, Child Waiting Rooms have played a crucial role in the Court’s service to our communities by providing a safe, convenient and free space for adults to drop off their children while they attend court hearings or conduct business in our Clerk’s Office or Self Help Centers. First opened at the old Long Beach Courthouse in 2002, Child Waiting Rooms have remained a core part of the Court’s service model for over two decades.
Operated in partnership with Because Children Matter, LLC., service providers staff each room, which are available to all children 13 years or younger. Children will experience culturally enriching activities such as arts and crafts, music and reading while their parents or guardians conduct court business in the same building.
Noah's Place is located within 8 different Courthouses throughout Los Angeles County.

About Noah's Place
After several years of successful grant writing, in 2021, we began exploring the idea to apply for grants and open our own early childhood services, another dream of ours. It was in 2021 when, while holding her grandson, our CEO describes the moment when she felt overwhelmed with the recollections of the many tragic stories of children who have suffered injuries, who go hungry, who live every day with no hope. Stories of adults who for whatever reason have failed the children. That moment powered the desire and the drive to work harder and make the dream come true. Children are so beautiful. Noah was in that moment (and still is) so beautiful, so full of life, so peaceful and when awake, he is so happy and calm. And so, the idea of Noah’s Place was born.
Noah's Place is committed to creating a learning environment where children will be safe and nurtured. Including the Child Waiting rooms, Because Children Matter LLC has partnered with Creative Minds serving up to 16 low income children and their families in South Gate, CA. BCM is also in the process of opening additional facilities in Lynwood, CA; Los Angeles CA and Pomona CA.
